David and Goliath
David,the shephered boy,played his harp and looked after his father's sheep.He kept the safe sheep safe from wild animals.David played his harp for King Saul.When the King was unhappy,the music made him feel better.King Saul and his soldier were at war with the Philistine army.The Philistines had a champion an enormous man name Goliath."I dare any one of you to fight me," he shouted to King Saul's soldiers.One day,when David was looking after the sheep,his father called him."Take this food to your brothers in King's Saul's army" he said.As David arrived with the food,he heard a great voice booming."I dare anyone to fight me."It was Goliath!"Isn't anyone brave enough to fight him?"asked David."No,"replied his brothers."I will fight Goliath,"said David.The King dressed David up in armour,but it was too far big for him."I dont need armour or a sword.I will fight Goliath with my sling,"said David.Then David went to a nearby brook and he choose 5 small pebbles.Goliath roared with laughter when little David came to fight him.Then David took one of the five pebbles and fired it from his sling.WHIZZZZ.The pebble hit Goliath on the forehead and he crashed to the ground.David crept up for a closer look.Goliath was dead!David had won the battle.
